Ages 4-6 Years

This Pre-K program aims at helping children develop confidence and independence in their learning and interactions with others while sharpening their logic skills. Teachers will work with children towards greater ease and understanding of letters and numbers and begin to introduce more involved subjects such as sight words and basic arithmetic. Pre-K will have more engagement with academics and will still focus on play and exploring their world. Children will be encouraged to be creative with their knowledge, engaging in student motivated projects and explorations. We believe in the importance of nature, movement and experimental play to complete an education; Explorations into nature will happen daily, and learning activities will involve action, imagination, and real life experiences. This program is designed as a gateway for Kindergarten and will follow the school district’s recommendations and guidelines for Kindergarten readiness. This classroom has low child to teacher ratios that allows for more opportunities to build respectful and reciprocating relationships between children, teachers and peers.
